Diagnose cooling symptoms around water pump 6QAJ-1307010B
This Yuchai product record identifies water pump 6QAJ-1307010B. A coolant leak, unusual noise or temperature change calls for inspection of the complete cooling circuit; symptoms alone do not confirm pump failure. Verify the engine version and original pump number before ordering.
Inspect safely before removal
Allow the engine to cool fully before checking coolant or opening any part of the system.
Locate the leak source and distinguish pump-area seepage from a hose, clamp, gasket or nearby connection.
Inspect the pump drive belt for wear, contamination, alignment and tension according to service data.
Check the shaft or pulley for abnormal play only using the applicable inspection procedure.
Consider other causes
Temperature complaints can also involve coolant level, radiator condition, thermostat operation, fan drive, trapped air or a faulty temperature indication. Investigate these items before replacing a pump; follow the Yuchai or equipment maker's procedure.
Replacement checks
Compare the removed number with 6QAJ-1307010B and inspect the housing, port layout, mounting face and drive interface. Confirm whether seals or gaskets are included, use the specified replacement seal, refill and bleed as directed, then check for leaks during a controlled test.
FAQ
Does any coolant near the pump prove the pump is leaking?
No. Trace the source while the system is cool; hoses and joints can leak nearby.
Can belt noise be diagnosed as pump-bearing failure?
Not from sound alone. Inspect the belt and pulleys and follow the service procedure.
What confirms the replacement number?
Match 6QAJ-1307010B to the engine serial and removed-pump markings.
Compatibility: Verify engine identity and inspect all mounting and drive interfaces before purchase.
