XCMG Crane CAN Communication Board
This CAN communication board is used in selected XCMG crane electronic control systems to exchange data between controllers, displays, sensors and safety-related modules. Because board hardware and software revisions can differ, order by the complete board identity and machine configuration rather than by brand alone.
What to Verify Before Ordering
Crane model, serial number and production year
Complete part number and revision printed on the original PCB or label
Connector count, keying, pin arrangement and mounting-hole positions
Control-system or display model connected to the board
Software or firmware version when shown
Clear photos of both board faces, labels and connectors
Application and Service Scenarios
A CAN board may be investigated after repeated communication fault codes, loss of data between confirmed working modules, intermittent network dropouts, visible board damage or corrosion, or failure found during bench diagnosis. Similar symptoms can also be caused by low supply voltage, poor grounds, damaged CAN-H/CAN-L wiring, incorrect termination resistance, loose connectors, failed sensors or another controller on the network.
Diagnostic Approach
Record fault codes before disconnecting components. Check power and ground under load, connector pins, harness continuity and CAN-bus resistance using the applicable electrical diagram. Isolate network branches methodically. Do not replace the board solely because several modules report communication faults.
Installation Notes
Disconnect power according to the service procedure and observe electrostatic-discharge precautions. Keep connectors dry and free of bent pins. Transfer configuration or software only when required by the correct XCMG service process. After installation, clear faults, verify live data and test all affected crane functions under controlled conditions.
Packing for Export
The board is placed in an anti-static bag, cushioned against vibration and packed in a rigid carton. Connector faces and exposed components receive extra protection, and the package is labelled with the verified board reference.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can a CAN error confirm that this board has failed?
No. The fault can originate from wiring, voltage, termination, connectors or another network module.
Can boards that look identical be interchangeable?
Not always. Hardware revision, pin assignment, firmware and machine configuration may differ.
What information is required for matching?
Send the crane serial number, original board code and revision, connector photos, connected-module details and fault-code record.
Does a replacement board require programming?
Some configurations may require coding or software setup. Confirm the requirement for the exact crane before installation.
