Product Introduction:
The DAVs300-2512 is a transducer-type pressure sensor specifically used in XCMG heavy equipment, particularly within load moment indicator (LMI) systems for crane safety and load monitoring.
1. Installation Location
This sensor is typically installed on the piston side and rod side of hoist cylinders in XCMG truck cranes. It is connected via hydraulic adapters, and common thread configurations include 9/16-18 UNF connections with adapter fittings. The sensor is positioned to measure hydraulic pressure directly from the cylinder ports. Before installation or removal, the hydraulic system must be fully depressurised to ensure safety.
2. Function
The sensor converts hydraulic pressure into a standard 4–20 mA analog output signal, which is transmitted to the LMI central processing unit. The system uses this real-time pressure data to calculate the actual load weight being lifted. By comparing real values against stored crane capacity charts, the LMI system warns the operator with audible alarms and visual indicators if overload conditions are approached, and it can lock out unsafe crane functions such as hoist up and boom down.
3. Maintenance and Service
This sensor is a sealed unit with no user-serviceable internal parts. If the output signal is unstable or drifts, first inspect the electrical cable and M12 or Canon-style connectors for damage or moisture ingress. Routine calibration should be verified periodically against known reference pressures, and if the sensor fails, it must be replaced with an identical DAVs300-2512 unit rather than repaired in the field. Ensure all hydraulic adapter seals are in good condition during replacement to prevent leaks.
4. Important Notes
Always verify the pressure range specified on the sensor label before installation. The wetted materials are compatible with standard hydraulic oils, but ensure the media does not exceed the rated pressure limits.
