The IFLEXC3 is a dedicated controller used as a spare part in XCMG crane load moment indicator (LMI) systems. It serves as the processing core that interprets sensor signals and executes safety control functions.
1. Installation Location
This controller is mounted inside the crane cab or in a dedicated electrical control box on the upper structure. It is typically installed on a DIN rail or via mounting brackets using four bolt holes. The unit should be placed in a dry, vibration-protected area away from direct heat sources. When replacing an old unit, carefully label all wiring harness connections before removal to ensure correct reinstallation.
2. Function
The IFLEXC3 receives input signals from multiple sensors, including pressure transducers, angle sensors, length sensors, and anti-two-block switches. It processes these signals using pre-programmed load capacity algorithms stored in its memory. The controller continuously compares real-time load conditions against the crane's rated capacity chart. If an overload condition is detected, it triggers audible and visual alarms and activates output signals to lock out unsafe movements such as hoist up and boom extension. The unit also provides display data to the operator panel for real-time load percentage and working radius readings.
3. Maintenance and Service
The IFLEXC3 has no user-serviceable internal components and contains no field-replaceable fuses or batteries. When a malfunction is suspected, first verify all input power supply voltages and check ground continuity. Inspect all external harness connectors for corrosion, bent pins, or loose contacts. The controller's configuration parameters are stored in non-volatile memory; however, if the unit fails, it must be replaced with an identical IFLEXC3 spare part. Re-programming or parameter re-loading may be required after replacement, which should be performed by qualified service personnel using the manufacturer's diagnostic tool.
